The Friends are an integral part of the Trust. Without you, there is no Trust!

It is hoped that Friends will enjoy the architectural heritage of Surrey – and learn more about it, by helping the Trust raise funds, publicise its work and increase awareness of its activities through taking part in working groups that interest them.

All Friends and a companion can enjoy:-
*Visits and tours to places of architectural and historical interest, including country houses that are not usually open to the public.
*Invitations to the Surrey Heritage Awards ceremonies at which entries are exhibited and trophies presented.
*The Annual General Meeting which usually includes a talk and a guided tour.
*Other activities that can be organised arising from Friends’ suggestions!

Anyone interested in architecture or preserving historic buildings can become a Friend by downloading and completing the application form and posting it to: Andy Smith, Secretary, Surrey Historic Buildings Trust, 24 Floral Court, Ashtead, Surrey KT21 2JL – alternatively you can scan & e-mail the form to Andy at

We are also looking for new Trustees who are keen to volunteer their time and expertise to help the Trust go from strength to strength. If you are interested in becoming a Trustee please send your CV and what qualities you would bring to the Trust to:
