Trust launches new Surrey Heritage Awards

Trust launches new Surrey Heritage Awards

The Chairman and Trustees of Surrey Historic Buildings Trust are delighted to announce the launch of our new annual Surrey Heritage Awards. The aim of the award scheme is to highlight best practice in conservation, preservation, care, repair and enhancement of Surrey’s historic buildings.

The new Heritage Awards scheme is being publicised to all eleven of Surrey’s district and borough councils, and we are encouraging local authorities to seek nominations from within their district in addition to making their own nominations. The Awards will be actively promoted in local press and media.

The first of the new Surrey Heritage Award presentations will take place on the evening of Wednesday 29th March 2017, at Loseley Park, by kind permission of Mr Michael More-Molyneux, Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey. Our very special guest speaker at the first annual Surrey Heritage Awards will be Dame Helen Ghosh, Director-General of The National Trust.

Award criteria and eligibility are detailed in the Surrey Heritage Awards nomination form, downloadable from the SHBT website.
